Most beautiful object

Each year at South Africa's Design Indaba Festival, industry leaders and influencers are called on to nominate what they think is the Most Beautiful Object in South Africa.

The term object has broad meaning with submissions ranging from fashion, technology and accessories to furniture and abstract art; with the overall winner decided by the voting public.

This year's Most Beautiful Object in South Africa was awarded to furniture designers Houtlander and their Interdependence Bench II; an eclectic interpretation of a shaker style love seat with a literal twist.
