Hello yellow

Safari Fusion blog | Hello yellow | Wire rocking chair at The Conceirge Boutique Bungalows, Durban South Africa
Yellow is such a happy colour, it draws the eye and commands your attention.

I can't say I have always loved yellow, but in recent years I can't seem to get enough of it (yes, yellow decor pieces have made their way into my home!).

Touches of yellow through objects, textiles, artwork and furniture can really make a room come to life; paired with charcoal walls yellow says wow in a contemporary setting. It takes a monochrome palate to the next level, it adds bright colour bursts to an all-white Scandi style look and works amazingly well when teamed with magenta and teal.

Not only is the colour visual, it also holds significant meaning in many cultures. For South Africa's Zulu people yellow represents wealth, gardens and fertility but can also have a negative meaning as well. Whilst to East Africa's Maasai it represents hospitality, growth and fertility. It is the colour of the sun which helps grow the grass to feed the cattle and sustain life.

Pinned: Skull & skeleton

Safari Fusion blog | Skull & skeleton | A formal monochrome picture wall with a distinctive Africa feel
A simple monochrome scheme, but of so effective. I love the wallpaper and the arrangement of the pictures,
the gemsbok skull gives it that distinctive Africa feel whilst the cat skeleton picture softens the formality.

We rarely have all colours in stock at the same time (sorry Magenta we are still waiting for you!), as they tend to arrive and go to their new homes very quickly!

So if you have been planning to add some feather texture to your wall, then I invite you to browse our Safari Store now for a great selection of colours.
