Africa folded

Safari Fusion blog | Africa folded | Recycling old books and creating paper folded works of art in South Africa
I am absolutely fascinated with the art of paper folding; it never ceases to amaze me how one can take a flat piece of paper and with precision, patience and skill, fold it to create something that is truly beautiful.

At the Design Indaba Simple Intrigue certainly had me intrigued with their recycled book art pieces. Being slightly obsessed with Africa maps of late, the African continent wall piece caught my attention as did the Springbok head, complete with twig horns.

Other creations include book artworks and incredible large-scale installations all made from discarded paper.
